External joinery and woodwork is either executed:

  • By including a jig in wall preparation phase for a pipe or services sleeve: external joinery and woodwork, fitted with a pre-frame, can then be installed.
  • By including, before casting, a suitable metal sub-frame, to be installed definitively.

 

Any edges around openings are protected by a strip of rock wool, minimum 100 mm (e.g. ROCKFEU COFFRAGE, by Rockwool), to protect the insulating panel of the GBE wall and avoid fire propagation via the insulation.
