The GBE System : concrete insulation from within

Using this patented system, it is now possible to produce cast-in-place concrete walls with integral insulation. With a winning advantage:  the GBE System guarantees ultra-high-performance building envelope insulation. This means it meets all energy efficiency requirements (2012 thermal regulations, BBC (low-energy housing) and Passivhauss (high-energy performance) labels). Although the walls it produces are highly technical, the GBE System itself is remarkably simple: a sandwich wall is cast in place, with integral insulation between the two concrete skins, secured using GBE-developed daggers and connectors.

However, the GBE System does require precise implementation, particularly during continuous casting of self-compacting concrete (SCC), performed simultaneously on both faces. In addition, the indirect yet positive impact of the GBE System® will be felt sector-wide: fostering the skills of formwork carpenters and using the expertise of primary construction companies.
