Technical evaluation document

The specialized group 3.2 of the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (French technical evaluation institution)  published a new version of the Avis Technique for the GBE System, validated by the committee on July 12, 2021. This new version is valid for 5 years, i.e. until 07/31/2026.

 

 

No restrictions compared with the previous version

 

The field of use remains unchanged from the previous version of the Avis Technique:

  • Walls for all types of buildings
  • All seismic zones (1 to 5)
  • No height limit (except ITGH)
  • Compliant with new fire regulations
     

 

Improvements

 

In addition to retaining all the content of the previous Avis Technique, the new version brings a number of improvements:

  • Modification of the calculation of the free length of stainless steel pins,
  • Revision of the method for dimensioning the outer wall and connecting pins under thermal effects, to bring it into line with the Eurocode 2 method. Please note: to facilitate the calculation of these elements on projects, a calculation tool is available to design offices. Please contact us to obtain it.
  • Concrete drop height increased to 5m
  • Addition of new design details (the list in the Avis Technique is not exhaustive).
