Additional information on GBE System

Control of thermal bridges and airtightness.

Connections (recessed joint, floors, acroterion, etc.) are construction singular points and cause heat loss.

The GBE System® eradicates these thermal bridges and contributes to improving comfort inside the building.

On-site concreting of all walls means that a homogeneous envelope is guaranteed in terms of airtightness of opaque walls.

The GBE System® offers envelope quality that complies with the requirements of energy performance labels.

Thermal inertia

With a 16cm concrete wall, the GBE System® factors in “very high” inertia and significantly improves comfort levels both in summer and winter months.

Envelope performance

The GBE System® offers a range of wall combinations that is in step with the objectives to be included in future regulations.

The thickness of the wall and the insulation are defined for each operation by the Prime Contractor crew as a function of the facing walls (concrete with matrix, coloured concrete, choice of coating and interior finishing, curved walls) and thermal objectives (R).

The System is suitable for most required configurations.

Resistance to ageing and environmental advantages

Concrete is especially resistant to all types of hazards and loads. Compared with other materials, concrete best withstands ageing, weather, pollution, impacts, biological degradation (mould and fungal growth, etc.) and fire.

The GBE System® also provides for curved cast-in-place concrete walls, as well as walls with matrix and coloured walls.
